Rich Blake-Lobb / 20161113 Go In Peace0:19:16128kbps4410017.65 MB
A message picking up on the theme of being sent out with God's peace based on a variety of Bible passages. Exodus 4:18 Moses went back to his father-in-law Jethro and said to him, ‘Please let me go back to my kindred in Egypt and see whether they are still living.’ And Jethro said to Moses, ‘Go in peace.’ Judges 18:6 The priest replied, ‘Go in peace. The mission you are on is under the eye of the Lord.’ 1 Samuel 1:17 Then Eli answered, ‘Go in peace; the God of Israel grant the petition you have made to him.’ 1 Samuel 20:42 Then Jonathan said to David, ‘Go in peace, since both of us have sworn in the name of the Lord, saying, “The Lord shall be between me and you, and between my descendants and your descendants, for ever.”’ He got up and left; and Jonathan went into the city.

Rich Blake-Lobb / 20170101 People of Peace0:21:37128kbps4410019.79 MB
A sermon encouraging the church to go as Jesus' sent out his disciples in Luke 10 1-17 and encouraged them to spend time with people of peace. After this the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go. He said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest. Go on your way. See, I am sending you out like lambs into the midst of wolves. Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, “Peace to this house!” And if anyone is there who shares in peace, your peace will rest on that person; but if not, it will return to you. Remain in the same house, eating and drinking whatever they provide, for the labourer deserves to be paid. Do not move about from house to house. Whenever you enter a town and its people welcome you, eat what is set before you; cure the sick who are there, and say to them, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.” But whenever you enter a town and they do not welcome you, go out into its streets and say, “Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off in protest against you. Yet know this: the kingdom of God has come near.” I tell you, on that day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.

A look at what it means to sing Hosanna - being blessed in the name of the Lord. Matthew 21:1-17 (NRSV) When they had come near Jerusalem and had reached Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, ‘Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, just say this, “The Lord needs them.” And he will send them immediately.[a]’ 4 This took place to fulfil what had been spoken through the prophet, saying, 5 ‘Tell the daughter of Zion,

Rich Blake-Lobb / 20170416 For God So Loved the World0:12:25128kbps4410011.38 MB
On Easter Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus we look at God's expression of love for the world. The Bible readings are: John 3:16-17 & 1 Corinthians 13 For God so loves you. John 3:16-17 (NRSV) ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. ‘Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 1 Corinthians 13 If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast,[a] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
